christmas street

merryxmas
christmas street is one of those traditions that i have carried on from when i was a child to now as an adult. every year, sometime during the christmas season, we would take a trip down to christmas street to see the lights and the ginormous christmas tree at the end of the circle. i always remembered this thing dressed head to toe in lights with a great big star on top. i remember thinking this tree probably was the largest in the world and it was here in this little town on christmas street. i mean this thing was huge, at least fifty feet, maybe sixty. what is it about getting older that makes everything seem smaller?

traditions are one of my favorite parts of christmas. it's all the days leading up to christmas that i really love. buying the christmas tree, dressing everything in lights, pajamas on christmas eve, all the christmas music, which by the way camden hates (party pooper!). this is to me what makes the season so special, spending time and doing these traditions together as a family. until next year christmas street, we'll be back!

what are some of your christmas traditions? things you do every year that christmas just wouldn't be complete without??

  7. How beautiful! There is a street like this where I live too that we go to every year! It doesn't even matter that it's the same lights every year, it just wouldn't feel like the holiday season without a stroll down Thoroughbred St.!
I was also wondering, what camera do you usually use to take photos?
Have a great week and Merry Christmas!

    1. I use a Nikon D3200 with either an 18-55mm lens or a 55-300mm lens. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas!!
