weekend brunch

since we are surviving on about four hours of sleep today, due to the fact that camden and i both somehow caught a severe case of insomnia last night and stayed up hours past our bedtime, we took brunch a little easy this morning and ran to the only bakery we could find open on a sunday for some much needed weekend brunch essentials (talk about a run-on sentence why don't ya!). besides the overwhelming need for a boost of caffeine (because we are both big believers in self medicating?), we both got different versions of croissants plus a little fresh fruit tart. - and seriously .... this was probably the best decision i've made all week, to get this almond stuffed, powdered sugar topped, light and crispy croissant i mean. i will be having dreams about this croissant. the kind of croissant that will have me mysteriously driving past this bakery a few times a week to make "just one more stop". camden got one stuffed to the core with chocolate and i was so enthralled with mine i completely forgot to taste it. we of coarse watched lucy, then laid on the couch the rest of the morning stuffed to the brim with buttery pastries, slap happy on tiredness. you know, one of ... those mornings ...

  4. We have a french bakery down the street from us that makes the most amazing almond stuffed croissants and coconut macaroons. Those things are honestly to die for.
