the other day, camden decided to take kramer out for a walk … something we haven’t been doing as often lately because of the freezing temperatures outside. feeling bad about this, camden decided to take him around the block to get some of his energy out. well, half way up our street kramer started limping on one of his paws. camden stopped to take a look at his sweet little foot and couldn’t see anything apparently wrong but decided they better turn back anyway. however, as soon as camden turned around to head back home kamer started walking just fine. camden, assuming whatever was wrong had fixed itself, turned back around to continue on their walk but, just as soon as they did, kramer started limping and whimpering as if he was in sooo much pain. again, they turned back around to head home and of course that little faker was fine. this isn’t the only thing he has faked lately either. he fakes being asleep when we tell him it’s bath time. he fakes going potty outside so he can come in. in fact, he was fake sleeping for the camera in these photos. he was lying on my chest wide awake until camden came over with the camera then decided he better do his “photo pose” and pretended to be asleep. at this point, we are both pretty sure it may even be possible he is fake being a dog. oh, but how i do love my little faker.

that is hilarious! what a cutie… dogs are the funniest little creatures. he actually looks almost identical to my pup who is also quite the character. she's a maltese/yorkie mix 😉

I was worried while reading that Kramer was hurt or something, but thank goodness he was faking it!! Well, who can help but forgive the little bundle of cuteness!

My dog does this all the time when he's too cold, too lazy, or was really into a bone/toy when we left. Crazy how dogs have adapted to trick us! haha

I love animals. Unfortunately when my dog limps it is because he has stepped on a burr or because he has a grass seed stuck in between his toes. Puppy limping is the saddest. Though puppies in cones are hysterical;)

That is hilarious! He does a good job posing though because those pictures of him are absolutely adorable! I just moved into a new place this past weekend and since I brought my cat home with me he's been limping. I can't tell if he's faking it or not to get more treats since I'm being a little…liberal with them and all through the change. (don't worry for all you pet-lovers out there, if it continues I'm taking him to the vet, I promise).

He's not faking! Ice and snow (and salt) can get packed in between the pads of his feet, causing a lot of discomfort and pain. When you go an look at it, it can dislodge when you pick up the paw or even melt away pretty quickly, so you don't see anything. Your dog needs boots to go out in the snow if he's wimpering. My border collie is the toughest, most stoic dog when it comes to injuries, but going out in the snow has her doing what you've mentioned above. Little booties fix everything – please get Kramer a set – really.

Kramer actually has boots but we didn't put them on because there wasn't any actual snow on the sidewalks and they were just going around the block free from where any snow was. I thought this at first too, but Kramer has done this a few times since even when he has had his boots on just so he can get put of his walks and go back home to treat or a toy.

I think your blog space is just too cute. I don't keep up weekly because I love waiting for a few weeks and then looking at all the posts at once. It keeps me entertained for longer amounts of time at work. And today I was MORE excited than I should have been to find out you and your hubby are having a kiddo!!!! SO excited for you guys – congrats and you guys are precious.

Haha, I thought my dog was the only one to do this, he is always worrying us by hopping about with a paw in the air, and the next minute leaping all over the place completely fine! And he fakes sleeping (we know he must be faking because he wiggles his 'eyebrows' up and down). Aren't dogs funny, such personalities!

Hilarious – my parents' dog, whom Kramer always reminds me of – has also been faking a leg injury lately! I think he tends to do it when my sister's dog is around and he wants more attention – hah!
