one hard to come by table and twenty two frames later we have ourselves one done, complete, finished, the end, dining room. i was pretty giddy about it this morning, to actually have a room in our house finished. it could very well be my favorite room in the house as well, so far anyway. camden and i commemorated it by having our very first dining room breakfast, cream cheeses and bagels, while waiting for the fridge repair man to arrive this morning. on a side note, i’m extremely glad i was able to talk camden into letting me paint one wall black. i’m just loving the way the frames pop off of the dark wall. anyway, the room is looking fab and after finishing our breakfast, the fridge man did come and fixed that not so cold fridge. add working appliances to the list of completes please. any suggestions or ideas on that first home cooked meal?

our home is slowly coming along. ikea is finally getting our table back in stock tomorrow and i can hardly wait to go and pick it up … with camden this time. knock on wood i’m not jinxing it again! i really can’t wait until it’s done. camden and i have made it our goal to get it in tip top shape by the end of this week. i mean really, one and a half months should be plenty of time to get a house in order! one would think anyway. we still have yet to cook a home cooked meal in our new house, or anything else for that matter. this is partially due to the fact that we don’t have a table to sit at and partially because our fridge isn’t working and it seems such a waste to buy fresh food for it all to just be thrown away. we are getting a bit tired of eating out all the time, i don’t think i can stomach another hamburger for a while. i’m currently dreaming of out first meal, home cooked meal, in our all the way done dining room. hopefully this weekend??

in other news, for those of you who have asked, the chalk white arrow shop is now back opened. all orders for christmas must be in by the 5th of december. also, i only have a limited amount, so get them while you can …

i wore: jacket, target // scarf, j.crew // shirt, j.crew // wrist worms, sandra juto // pants, j.crew // shoes, sorel (similar)

i can’t tell you the last time we’ve had this much snow in november. in fact, i think in the last three days, we’ve had more snow than we did all of last year. there has literally not been more than a few hours that snow hasn’t been falling from the sky. it’s a complete winter wonderland out there, i love it! we’ve had all our winter gear out, even kramer put his boots and coat on to brave the one and a half feet of snow. this morning, our power went out which meant we went out for waffles and hot chocolate, of course. my waffle had bacon in it, mmmmm… bacon. i was having a total homer simpson moment. thankfully our power has been back on for a few hours now and our house is just starting to warm back up. it seems the winter storm is now passing and honestly i’m kind of sad to see it go. the constant snow has meant more warm snuggles inside, plus the falling snow is extra magical, which of course has put me even more in the mood for christmas, which, by the way, camden is loving – not. yesterday while painting yet another wall in our house, i’m ashamed to say i turned on old christmas music to keep me going. all in all, it was a cold but beautiful weekend. all i can say is i hope this is a sign of what’s to come as far as weather this winter. lots of snow please!

last night was bath night for kramer. it had been way to long since his last one and you know how little white fluffy doggies get dirty only in the greyest of ways. oh kramer and his baths . . as you can probably tell, he is not the biggest fan. but kramer, being the good dog he is, will stay in that bath without crying or trying to escape for as long as you need him to. he will sit, well stand rather, in the lukewarm water letting you wash and rinse and wash again until he is squeaky, squeaky clean. kramer is a brilliant dog.

i love the john paul pet doggy shampoo and conditioners especially the super bright shampoo and the oatmeal conditioning rinse. besides the facts that they are never tested on animals and are extremely good for dogs coats and skin, i love the way it makes kramer smell. rather, i love the way it doesn’t make kramer smell. one thing i dread about taking kramer to be groomed is the way he comes home smelling afterward. it’s as if they’ve dumped perfume and baby powder all over his sweet pink skin and white fluffy fur. after being bathed at home, kramer smells clean and fresh with almost no scent at all. the super bright shampoo is great for dogs with light or white coats. it keeps kramer’s fur looking bright and clean while the oatmeal conditioning rinse is great for gently working out tangles while being kind to their sensitive skin. just add a jar for rinsing and a quick brush after drying and kramer is set.

kramer may never love being bathed but he doesn’t mind being snuggled in a dry towel afterwards, especially with camden. if that doesn’t do the trick a little treat after being dry never hurts. although, according to kramer, any kind of treat any time never hurts.  –  p. s.  please excuse our old 1960’s half blue bathtub, i know it’s lovely . .
