How sweet are these ornaments? They are so cute and soooo easy to make not to mention inexpensive, love that! Homemade ornaments always look so good on Christmas trees and chances are you have most of the items you need laying around your home.
Tools Needed
-Scissors
-Glue Gun
-Unwanted book or newspaper
-Round ball ornaments
Directions
1. Find and old or unwanted book or newspaper and cut out petal like shapes maybe .5″ wide and long. I find it easiest to have one rounded side and on straight side.
2. Take your round ornament (found at almost any craft, grocery, decor, etc. store for very cheap) and starting near the top glue your petals around in a spiral like pattern. Overlap each piece slightly to give it layers and to cover your ornament effectively. Also only put your glue on the straight side of each cut-out so half of each one is popping out for some dimension.
3. Keep working down toward the bottom making sure to stagger your cut-outs every row. Once you come to the bottom you will have to squeeze them in a bit to fit them in. (Sometimes you just need to play with it a little tell it looks right to you.) Make sure all the ornament is covered filling in empty spots if any.
Well that’s all folks! Super cute, super sweet, super worth it!
