ice, friends, & hot chocolate

Miscellaneous

This past weekend we traveled downtown to go ice skating with some friends. It was an outside rink which made me feel like we were ice skating in the olden days. It was very sweet to hold my hubbies’ hand around the small oval rink hoping we both did not fall{which I am proud to say we both didn’t} and to forget the day to day worries that sometimes consume us. Somehow this made it easy for us to just forget all that, and concentrate on having a bit of good old fun. When my toes finally had enough and were about to fall off from the cold, we went over to Hatch Family Chocolates, which may I say, has the best hot chocolate in the world. It’s like pure chocolate melted down in a cup mixed with sweet cream, yet better! It was the perfect combination, good friends, some fun exercise, and an extraordinary cup of hot chocolate.
Happy Monday Everyone!

Our long awaited couch has finally arrived from Restoration Hardware and we love it. Many, many evenings and weekends will be spent on this couch and I am excited to have them on something so cozy. I’ll post more pictures soon! Hope you all are having a happy thursday!

But this is one of my favorite treats. It’s super simple. All you need is Murray Old Fashioned Ginger Snaps and Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Just take two of the ginger snaps and smash a nice sized scoop of the mint chocolate chip ice cream in between. There is something so decadent about the mix of the spice from the cookie and the sweet in the mint ice cream. I know, bazaar … but try it, it’s so good!!

To do list:
ugh.. laundry
organize our office
spend some reward dollars:)
get our couch delivered
catch up on Grey’s Anatomy
be motivated

The bad and the good:
the bad: smacking my head on the railing while doing Tuesdays pictures {ha ha ha, I’m not graceful enough to swing around a pole and look lovely at the same time}. Getting dressed in the morning only to realize Camden and I are matching {wearing the same colors}.
the good: I got a new bright striped sweater from Camden and our couch is getting delivered today! My contacts and glasses came so I can see extra crisp. Eating a big chocolate Dunford donut for lunch {I realize not the most healthiest of choices but delicious}.
