have you ever put on way too many layers? like every piece of clothing you own was suddenly calling your name and you felt you should probably put it all on. . .and you don’t realize just how ridiculous this all is until you go outside to feel it’s only about fifty degrees so you probably didn’t really need two sweaters, a coat, a scarf, a hat, and gloves . . . .? obviously i have.

i wore: hat, j.crew outlet // scarf, j.crew // sweater, thrifted // overalls, vintage lee jeans // boots, hunter // wrist worms, sandra juto // purse, vintage coach // coat, j.crew outlet

one small house and a few goofy faces later

have i ever mentioned that my dad is a really amazing photographer? he is! a while back, my dad had this idea of shooting “portrait” photos of me (and kramer) in our new quaint home. well, we finally made it happen. after loads of procrastinating on putting this house together (on my part) my father and his co-worker trent were at last able to make the trip over, last wednesday, the day before thanksgiving. if we didn’t realize just how small our humble abode was before, let me tell you, we certainly do now. you should have seen us trying to move around in there with camera equipment and whatnot all about the place. it was madness. . . and let’s not even get into the multitude of goofy faces i can make for a camera . . . well, those two somehow managed to work beyond the spaces small square footage and work with my beyond quirky faces, to still, somehow, make the charlesworth home look magazine worthy. now that is talent.

oh the christmas tree hunt, i look forward to this day more than any other all year.  camden and i have started a little game over the past few years called “who can spot our christmas tree first”. the game pretty much goes: whoever spots the tree first, which in then both parties agree that this indeed is the perfect christmas tree, wins. camden always wins! i like to think it’s because he is a foot taller than me and can see farther into the midst of green firs, but honestly i think he must just have an eye for this thing. i sara, am out loud hereby dubbing camden, o sir tannenbaum picker. after four years of spotting it first i think he deserves such a tittle. now on to white strung lights and little felt ornaments, oh and let’s not forget camden’s frosty friends. how camden loves his frosty friends 🙂
