(thank you dad for the amazing camera to photograph the city with!!)

Miscellaneous

these little feet will be traveling to faraway places very soon. camden, my two sisters, my mom, and i will be making our way over to new york city for a much needed vacation. needless to say, i’m beyond excited, over the moon excited, past the moon and back excited! even better, i will get to celebrate my birthday there, and seriously . . what more could i ask for? the only thing that could possibly make it better would be if kramer could come along with us, “kramer takes new york city”. sadly, he has to stay home while we travel without him. up until a few hours ago i thought we were going to have to leave him at a doggy hotel, which i was completely stressing out about due to the fact that kramer has never stayed without people he is familiar with, or without his home with all his things, bed, toys, and so on. just today however, some family graciously offered to stay and doggy sit this little guy, which totally lifted a whole lot of worry off my shoulders. – on a side note, i’m starting to get the feeling i will be a terribly worrisome mother if just leaving our dog has caused me this much grief. – if there is anything we shouldn’t miss while we are in the city (killer shopping, restaurants, etc.) please let me know. i’m totally enjoying hearing about all the fun unique places we shouldn’t miss out on . .
 – i will try and get the post up tomorrow on where i got all the items seen
in the newly redesigned room and hopefully will answer all your questions.

i don’t know about you, but somedays i just want nothing more than to throw on a pair of lounge pants and a flannel shirt. i envy people that don’t ever let themselves leave the house in sweats or their hair in a messy almost pony. heck, i’ve done all but go on a date night with just that look. i sometimes find myself doing it way, way too often. camden likes to give me grief for my skinny sweat pants, but i don’t care, i’ll continue to rock them anyway. – and kramer, kramer could care less what i put on these little legs, as long as he gets his walks and his bones and his belly rubs. . . he’s happy. i don’t think i’ll ever be one of those people who wouldn’t dare to leave the house looking anything less than perfect. although i wish i could say otherwise, i am who i am, and sometimes lounge wear is just good enough for me. plus, as i always say, a sparkly heart pin dresses up any outfit any day.

Miscellaneous

i know i have been m.i.a. for the past few days, but this bedroom took a lot more energy and time than i had expected. my days and nights were spent in this little room and i definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without the help of my family. i’m extremely happy to say the makeover is finally complete. the room has made a full turn around from where it began, can you believe it use to look like this? although i’m overjoyed with how it turned out, i can’t say there weren’t a few little bumps and jolts along the way. the rug i had initially planned for the room was unexpectedly backordered and it took some creative thinking on how to find one similar in time for the big reveal. also, the original color of the dresser was planned to be different and i had found out only few days before it had been discontinued. however, i ended up liking the new color of the dresser in the room even better than the first. the original layout i had in mind looked better, there, in my head, and needed some rearranging on the floor. also, i think when you buy paint, there should be a guide that lets you know just how much wall space it will cover. the home depot definitely saw a lot of me in the past week and i always feel a little out of place there, sort of a let’s play the one who doesn’t belong. anyway, in the end everything worked out better than expected and i’m in love with this funky rooms unique vibe. later this week, i will include a little post on where i got some of my absolute favorite little treasures, which just to name a few include: the oversized dream catcher above the bed, the little elephant and bird dangly hangings, and the stuffed owl perched comfortably on that oh-so-cozy bed. all these little details are always my favorite part of redoing a room. as a side note, it wasn’t until the space was completed that i realized just how many different animals i had included somewhere throughout: birds, foxes, elephants, deer, lions, butterflies, the whole lot. below are just a few pictures of the newly revamped bedroom, enjoy!

the room is slowly coming together, it’s hard to believe just a few short days ago it looked like this. i have gotten so much completed, it’s definitely over fifty percent done, yet it still feels like i have loads to do before saturday. camden is currently putting together the bed and i’m so excited about how its cute little shape is looking in this funky little bedroom. these are just a few of the little pieces coming into the room that i’m in love with so far. i can’t wait to show you more!
