i have restrained myself from displaying our wedding photos or any photos of us as a couple throughout our home … mostly because it just isn’t our personal style and i’m never completely sure how to show them tastefully. this isn’t to say that it can’t look quite nice in some homes, it’s just that in our’s however, we have decided to share our story upon our walls a little differently. so instead, i have chosen for camden and i (and sometimes kramer too), a kind of unique twist on this same tradition by having quirky and whimsical paintings of the charlesworth family throughout the apartment giving it, what we think, a look that’s all its own. this is why we’ve become really quite smitten with our couple’s personalized wall hanging courtesy of pink cheeks studios. it goes along with that same idea i’ve been talking about, plus … the detail is outstanding! from the birds on my arm to the mole on camden’s chin, or the pattern and texture on my hat to the texture and color of kramer’s fur … it’s all there. and as far as quirk and whimsy go … it’s obviously packed full, which makes it the perfect statement piece and new addition to our home.

this is so fun, so neat, and so you. i love it. and we totally don't have any of our photos up, either. i feel the same way about not being able to find a way to put them up that feels like "us." the one photo we have up of us is one we took ourselves, in our living room, with a self-timer…printed on printer paper, and stuck up with tape. seriously. but i kind of love it.

Oh that is precious! Love the dolls. Very unique and clever idea. I'm not someone that likes to display photos, to me it feels extremely fake and a bit conceited but that's just me. I know some people love being surrounded by their memories like that. I like to fill my space with stuff that interests me.

( I didn't know how to comment on the post after this, but those donuts look so delicious! I grew up with a Dunkin Donuts and never saw it as something special, but your photos and vignettes on it make it look/sound so GLORIOUS. I want one now.)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. 🙂 It's a small award going around through the small blog community so I completely understand if you do not participate, but I just wanted to let you know that this is my small way of expressing my appreciation for Chalk White Arrow! Cheers!
