small, compact, tiny, little, teeny, miniature, itty bitty; all words that would be suitable to describe our front entry. just enough room for a few pair of shoes and perhaps a shovel and a couple scarves in the winter. a spool of yarn sits on the adjoining wall because …. well …. why not? and a little ornament sits on the wrong side of a nail that has poked through from the outside of the front door. sitting opposite from the front door, in all her glory, resides our christmas tree, mostly because there just didn’t seem to be anywhere else to put her. who’s to say if it’s because our family is still small itself, or because it adds a bit of cozy to the rest of the house, but i have come to adore our little, teeny, tiny, miniature, compact, entry.

spool of yarn // little ram ornament // white poms over the doorway // deer and poms on wall // pillow on chair

Even though it's small, it's lovely! I love it when people can pull off white walls. I went crazy and painted as much as I could, but when I see small spaces like yours rocking the white wall, makes me want to paint it back white sooner than later! I also love the red shovel by the door, it is so classic! Reminds me of an old Christmas story.
