here comes summer, here comes summer, chirping robin, budding rose. here comes summer, here comes summer, gentle showers, summer clothes. here comes summer, here comes summer-whoosh-shiver-there it goes. ~poem by shel silverstein

the one and probably only thing that didn’t absolutely love new york was my face. it had a mini breakout and i was determined to get rid of it quick. i tried many different remedies that i found online including; cotton balls dipped in salt – which i wouldn’t recommend trying unless you want to risk leaving a scab on your face, asprin, straight up lemon, none of it really seemed to get the job done. on one of our last days there, my sister found this honey lemon remedy on, none other than pinterest, and i decided to give it a try. out of all of them it worked the best. it wasn’t a miracle worker but it definitely made a difference. if i ever when i have another breakout, i’ll be doing this nifty trick again, plus it tasted scrumptious.

~ here is what you do ~
———————————————————————————————————————————-
– cut a lemon in half and drop a few drops of honey on the top.
– after cleansing your face, rub the lemon with honey on your face and leave on for about 5 minutes.
– rinse with cool water and you’re finished.

there have been a few changes around here, a little dusting and de-cluttering and it’s all thanks to oana befort. for the past month or so, oana and i have been working on a redesign of this blog. she was oh so patient with me and worked so hard to put it all together. i couldn’t be more happy with it.

oana also has a little shop where she sells the most beautiful creations like the ones below. you must check it out. thank you oana, for bringing a little of your beauty over here!

oh my, it has been a long day and i feel like it has been forever since i have written anything. things have been so busy around here lately. since getting back from new york, my job has changed back to the personal assistant side of things since school has once again started for all the kids. we are supposed to be moving in one month and we have no idea where to yet. it feels like the list of things to get done keeps getting longer and longer and the time to do it shorter and shorter. i do have a few fun posts planned for you this week. as you may have noticed, this little blog of mine has had a few changes and as it comes to a finish pretty soon here, i will tell you all about it. i’m changing up a few things, a bit of blog “fall” cleaning if you will. for now it’s late and obviously not tuesday anymore, so i bid you a good morning as i head off to bed to snuggle with these two boys of mine.

oh the hop on, hop off busses . . . they were a sort of major entertainment for us. one of the tour guides on one of the busses we took, kept yelling at her bus driver down below, who’s name couldn’t have been more perfect, eugene. “eugeneeugene, can you hear me??” “eugene, eugene, you better let this bus go around us now!!” – and who could forget about zu (one of the other tour guide’s bus driver). “zu, zu, stop zu! right here zu, stop!” without a doubt the best show of the trip.DSC_0674

oh serendipity, your frozen hot chocolate really is superb and your menus oversized. (camden really wanted to order the golden opulence sundae, made with real gold costing over 1000$, just to see what they’d say.)DSC_0638
